Part of The Natural Burial Company, Prestwold Natural Burial Ground is located in a peaceful area on the historic Prestwold Estate, just outside of Loughborough.

About Prestwold Natural Burial Ground

Prestwold Natural Burial Ground was opened in 1999, making it one of the oldest natural burial grounds in the Midlands. Operated by the dedicated team at The Natural Burial Company to their simple ethos, Care for the Environment, Care for the Bereaved, and Fighting Funeral Poverty.

Areas are available for meadow and woodland burials, and a special Cherry Glade area is currently under development. Everyone is welcome to visit, and all plots can be selected in advance. Only one full burial is conducted per day, therefore there are no time limitations, and many families choose to have a picnic at the graveside during the summer months.

We work with all local funeral directors and can also arrange all burials ourselves. Our Family Led Service is becoming increasingly popular with those looking for a truly personalised, environmentally friendly, service, without the formality of traditional funeral directors. Our extremely experienced team can help and support in every way.

Prestwold has been nominated as the prestigious Burial Ground of The Year on several occasions, winning the award in 2021 along with its sister burial ground, Wrottesley Park in the West Midlands.
