We firmly believe that natural burial is the clear way forward for the funeral profession. It’s time for all funeral professionals to unite behind green funeral practices, grow their knowledge and offer this option to everyone they work with.
Our membership scheme focuses on natural burial education, continuing professional development and encouraging greener funeral practices across the board. We do not assess the green credentials of our members but simply ask that your aims and objectives align with our own.
Membership is FREE to anyone who operates a natural burial ground in the UK. We also welcome members who supply goods and services to the funeral profession, at a cost of £95 per year. Our supplier members come from a wide range of backgrounds, including funeral directors, celebrants, florists, coffin makers and more. Membership discounts are available to charities and to organisations looking to register more than one employee.

Your listing page acts as a shopfront for your business and includes your images, bio, interactive Google map, user reviews, contact details and a contact form.

You'll have access to our comprehensive resources library, which features a range of guides, templates and downloads, plus all past CPD recordings.
Training and CPD
We run quarterly online CPD sessions led by green funeral specialists. These are held on Zoom and cover a wide range of green funeral topics.
Natural Burial Brochure
You'll receive our informative Natural Burial Brochure (digital plus one hard copy), which you are welcome to distribute and share with your customers.
Online Forum
You’ll have access to and an introduction on the Eco Funeral Network - a Facebook group where you’re free to ask questions and promote your services.
Badge and Certificate
We will send you a digital badge for your website to show customers at a glance that you support natural burial. Plus a certificate and door sticker if you would like one.

Membership is FREE for anyone who owns or operates a natural burial ground in the UK.
For our supplier members, we ask for a contribution of £95 per year. We have set this fee as low as we can in order to recoup our running costs and provide a comprehensive service to our members and site visitors.
The Alliance’s primary goal is to make natural burial more accessible and more widely chosen across the UK. We also believe that businesses can play a critically important role in helping fight climate change, so we have a range of measures in place to keep our business eco-friendly and we contribute 1% of revenue towards next-generation carbon removal.
