Belsay Woodland Burials is owned and managed by Belsay Estate, this stunning landscape – also home to Belsay Hall and Castle – has remained largely unchanged for over 800 years. Belsay Woodland will be developed gradually and harmoniously, with only indigenous species of trees and flowers planted.

When it comes to funerals, you can choose exactly how you want to organise things. Ceremonies can take pace beforehand or at the graveside, and can be based on either faith or non-religious/humanist principles. Burials or interments are performed from Monday to Friday, and plenty of time is provided for families to say goodbye.
