Tithe Green Ketton is a natural burial ground in Rutland with 35 acres of meadow and woodland sloping gently towards the Rove Chater.
Tithe Green Ketton is one of three Tithe Green natural burial grounds in the North East, with our first site in Oxton being one of the first natural burial grounds in the country.
Just outside the picturesque village of Ketton, Rutland, our 35 acres of grounds slope gently towards the Rove Chater and offer a mix of wildflower meadow and established woodland.
Like all our natural burial sites, Tithe Green Ketton is humming with life: trees sway in the breeze, and bees carry pollen from wildflower to wildflower. We take great care of these beautiful, biodiverse spaces, open to visitors all day, every day.
Natural burial is about using natural materials only, so all of our approaches avoid any plastics, metals or toxic chemicals. In all of our sites we offer burial or ashes interments in either our wildflower meadow of our woodland settings. We also offer direct cremation and ashes interment service.
All of our approaches to natural burial can be attended or unattended, it’s entirely up to you. Attended natural burials can be very special, and we’re used to accommodating all manner of requests, from simple gatherings to full Star Wars themed shenanigans. We’re not event planners ourselves but we can guide you towards good funeral directors, celebrants and other helpful people if you need.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions about what we offer and we will be happy to help.
