Gunton Woodland Burial Park is a natural burial ground in Suffolk, operating as an independent non-profit making charity.
Our main aim at Gunton Woodland Burial Park is to offer burials that are open to everyone who wishes to be buried closer to nature, who wants to contribute to the creation of a new woodland and the donation of any surplus funds to local good causes.
Before the Park opened to the public in 2016, 7,000 British native trees were planted by local volunteers and five glades were formed. It is in these glades that burials now take place.
Wildflowers are being progressively planted in the glades, which have been specially selected to provide habitat cover and the food sources needed to attract a variety of wildlife into the Park.
At Gunton, we can offer you a full range of options backed up by the professional services needed to ensure that you or your loved one will be laid to rest in a way that offers the respect you deserve whilst protecting the environment. All our burials take place in the woodland glades, which afterwards are re-sown with grass and native wildflowers to maintain the natural setting.
If you’d like to know more and talk through your options, please do get in touch. You can be sure of a warm welcome from our friendly, experienced staff.
